A Succesful Day:

School Begins at 8:15 A.M.

Please be on time for school each and every day.  All students can eat breakfast in the classroom from 8:15-8:30 A.M.  If you are absent from school, please make sure to bring a note to school explaining why you were absent.

We always begin our school day with the:

Pledge of Allegiance

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

“Juro fidelidad a la bandera de los Estados Unidos de América, y a la república que representa una nación bajo Dios, indivisible cón libertad y justicía para todós.”

Then we continue with our:

Elkin School Pledge

“I have come to school today, to learn all that I can, so that I can become a better person.  I want to be successful in school; therefore, I will be attentive, display good behavior, and always take pride in my work.  My teachers are here to help me.  I must respect them, my classmates, and myself.  My teachers and my parents have high expectations of me, and I have high expectations for myself.”

Remember to S.O.A.R. during the school day.

Earn lots of scholar dollars for the prize cart and for the special monthly activities and earn feathers for pizza parties throughout the school day.

Remember the Rules:

Lunchroom Rules

● Sit at your assigned table

● Remain in your seat at all times

● Ensure your knees and feet are under the table

● Ensure both feet are flat on the floor

● Make “one trip” to the trash can by discarding all of your trash at the same time

● You must raise your hand and ask permission from an adult to leave your assigned table

area

● Use an “indoor” voice to communicate

Recess Rules:

1. First, go to the bathroom.

2. Play safely on the playground.

3. Take turns.

3. Follow all directions the first time given.

School Ends at 2:54 P.M.

Remember to complete all of your homework and share with your parents how your day was!
